MIDSOMER MURDERS
THE
INCIDENT AT COOPER HILL
MAIN
ROLES & CHARACTERS

FELICITY
'FLICK' FORD (Belinda McGinley)
Caring, kind
hearted if a bit naive. A Woodland Ranger. She lives with her mum,
Veronica and is estranged from her father, Group Captain Ford.
Although engaged to her colleague Brogan Steele, Felicity is in a
secret relationship with another.
GROUP
CAPTAIN JEREMY FORD (Pip Torrens)
The man with
the answers. A brooding, taciturn RAF officer who retains a cold war
attitude. Captain Ford runs the nearby MOD base and takes his
responsibilities seriously. Although, he regrets that he and Felicity
don't talk, he never admits it. Ford is devoted to his work and
proves a barrier to Barnaby's investigations. The two men will clash
as the case progresses.
SGR
YASMIN ALI (Sheena Bhattessa)
Our second
victim. But not before she becomes a suspect in the killing of
Felicity. Yasmin is a capable RAF officer who works beside Captain
Ford at the MOD base. Sharp, shrewd and determined too. She hails
from inner London. The daughter of third generation Pakistani
parents, she joined the RAF after school. She is in love with
Felicity Ford.
VERONICA
FORD (Sian Webber)
The key to the
mystery. Veronica is a discontented and tragic woman who divorced the
over bearing Ford ten years ago. Despite getting out of her unhappy
marriage, she remained in Cooper Hill with her daughter, Felicity,
and is devoted to her.
ABIGAIL
TONEV (Alison Steadman)
Larger than
life and full of good humour. Abigail is force of nature with a
penchant for the dramatic. Earns her money by running UFO Spotting
Tours for gullible tourists. Constantly exasperates her son Nathan
who she lives with in a flat above his garage.
NATHAN
TONEV (Steve Oram)
The quiet man.
Nathan is a soft spoken, thoughful man who is burdened with his
demanding mother, Abigail. He's an honest and principled bloke who is
well thought of in Cooper Hill. He owns a local garage where he
employs a local girl, Orla. He, like his mother, has never recovered
from his father leaving.
CARTER
FAULKNER (Steve Evets)
Carter is
intense and obsessed. Hell bent on proving the existence of UFOs. As
a young man he saw an alien craft outside Cooper Hill and he's never
been the same since. He lives in a caravan camp in the woods with a
small group of fellow believers including his son, Dillon. He runs a
conspiracy website and is convinced the MOD knows all about the UFO sightings.
DILLON
FAULKNER (Lee Armstrong)
A dark horse.
Dillon lives with his father in the caravan. He's not a believer like
is father and his crowd, he just wants to care for his dad and is
desperate to please him.
ORLA
CAMPBELL (Tanya Fear)
Orla is a
plucky local girl and a bit of a tomboy. She's grounded, resourceful
and good with her hands. She works with Nathan Tonev in his garage.
Her choice of career dismays her parents and she, in turn, is
exasperated by their disapproval.
VICTOR
CAMPBELL (Steve Toussaint)
A former
serviceman in the RAF, Victor is a breezily cheery man who runs the
village hotel - The Crown. Victor bought the hotel after he left the
RAF and was quick to exploit the village's reputation as a hotbed of
UFO activity.
NADINE
CAMPBELL (Michelle Collins)
Victor's other
half. A smart woman and former computer programmer. She wants more
for Orla than working in a rural garage. She wants Orla to go to
university. Nadine doesn't care for Victor's friendship with Group
Captain Ford.
BROGAN
STEELE (Alistair Austin)
Don't let the
handsome face and muscled torso fool you. Brogan is a chaste and
principled lad who has a strong faith. In love with Felicity but had
discovered she was seeing someone else.
CATH
JONES (Jennie Dale)
Forthright,
enthusiastic and a bit of a know-it-all, Cath is a single legal
secretary who has a passion for all things alien related, and uses
all her annual leave to go UFO hunting. She's actually a bit lonely
and uses these trips to make friends and meet like-minded people.
